My Story

Sonal is a Registered Dietitian and New Jersey State Certified Nutritionist who is passionate about working with individuals, families and children find balance in eating with an integrative approach. Sonal has a MS in Nutrition Education from Columbia University, with extensive experience working at top hospitals and community programs. She specializes in GI, renal and endocrine disorders, feeding/behavioral difficulties, weight management and eating disorders. She has gained extensive experience at Rutgers - Child Health Institute, NYU Langone hospital, NYP and Children's Hospital of New York. She brings in-depth knowledge and research-based diet solutions for various disease states while providing individualized counseling.

Sonal is founder of PNANJ, a lecturer at Rutgers University and mom of two super active kids. She enjoys running, cooking, eating, and sharing cool science facts and discussing Greek mythology with her children.

Our Approach

At PNANJ, we follow this mantra in providing medical nutrition therapies and practicing intuitive eating at every age and size. Our goal is to empower you and/or your child with the tools and resources to help you feel strong both physically and mentally. Proper nutrition requires a holistic approach, and we work as a team with you and your providers to devise a plan for whatever your medical concern maybe. Conditions we typically work with, but not limited to, are:
